The liver is an abdominal glandular organ in the digestive system. It is located in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, under the diaphragm. The liver is a vital organ that supports nearly every other organ to some capacity.

The liver is the body’s second-largest organ (skin is the largest organ), according to the American Liver Foundation, weighing about 3 pounds (1.4 kilograms). It has four lobes and is a very soft, pinkish brown organ. It contains several bile ducts.

London could become 'Britain's Atlantis': Map shows how the capital would be lost if the polar ice caps melted

It reveals how London would look under 40 metres and 80 metres of water
Levels are based on predictions made by the US Geological Survey

A separate map shows how New York could be affected by floods in 2020s
The maps and GIF were designed by Seattle-based visual artist Jeffrey Linn. He is currently working on a graphic novel with the University of Leeds to show how parts of the UK would look in 200 years if nothing is done to curb carbon emissions. This map shows London following a 181ft (40-metre) rise in global sea levels, which could be caused if the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets melted.

Google goes to Greenland: Glaciers, fjords and viking ruins among the latest images added to the View mapping service

Google Street View is great for virtually visiting local landmarks and bustling cities, but the service really comes into its own when mapping the far-flung regions of the planet.
And the latest of these distant locations to be added is Greenland. It is the first time Google has captured the island and highlights include the Illulissat icefjord, the region's capital Nuuk including statues in honour of missionary Hans Egede, and the 10th century Viking settlement of Erik the Red.
Greenland is the 66th country to be added to Google's Street View mapping service and highlights include the Illulissat icefjord, on the west coast of Greenland.
